The District is committed to increasing the level of transparency that surrounds a complex budget process. As discussed, the Strategic Plan, which is the product of a genuine consensus-building process embodies the vision of the community and drives the annual budget process. At every step of the process the focus remains on the mission, vision and strategic plan with the goal of addressing equity and enabling all students to graduate ready for college and career. The Finance Department is committed to a new accuracy and efficiency in budgeting; truth in budgeting. That means transparency and insight for all stakeholders. The same effort and care we put into developing a budget that speaks to our values and objectives we will use in expressing commitments and delivering results.
